Alicia Edwards began her writing career while she was still designing menswear New York. In 2007, while doing some fashion trend research in Details Magazine, she came across a controversial article about a swingers group and fired off a letter to the editor. It was published and she began writing professionally.
Alicia has since further merged her love for fashion and writing by covering fashion events, trends and interviewing style makers including Lifestyle Specialist Kenny Burns, Lloyd Boston, E!'s George Kotsiopoulos and Formerly CNN's and BET's (Now ABC's) TJ Holmes. In 2010, Alicia was chosen to be the "Person of the Week" for April 4 by People You Need to Know, an Atlanta based e-magazine.
In 2015, Alicia started conducting wardrobing workships at colleges and non-profits. Her true calling is helping young women craft their best, unique professional image both on-line and in person because first impressions and self-esteem are everything. She is currently writing her first book about personal style through her brand AliciaStyle and serves on the board of KleanCollar, a fashion accessories company.
Alicia went to Florida A & M University, received a BS and MBA. She then went to Parsons School of Design in New York and earned an Associates Degree in Fashion Studies.
Alicia currently resides in the Washington DC metro area.
